Anyone know if there is really a difference between the K&N intake/filter or the JWT pop charger?
I have a chance to buy a K&N one for about $40 less then the JWT...should I go for it? Will it give the same sound/performance?

Thanks,
Roman

Is k&n a drop-in filter or a cone? Don't get drop-in, u won't feel any difference.

Cone...

It's NOT the drop in.
It's the cone filter.
What do you think? worth it?

Thanks,
Roman

Does it look like my JWT cone? Does it say it will fit in yer car? If yes, then consider getting it.

Yes...it looks like your JWT except that it seems to be a little bit smaller...but it could just be the picture. It does fit my car.

No real difference... if it fits, get it.

What is the hp difference between the JWT, K&N, and the stillen cone filters. Which filter would you recommend out of the three, considering: hp, price, and sound.

Thanks,
Nathan

About zero. I recommend which ever is the least expensive.

All of those perform the same function, sucking in air. Stillen is the most expensive and although their web site states that with Stillen intake alone u gain 20hp, it's all BS. The maximum you will be able to gain is 5-8hp, depending on what mods u have already. So get the least expensive and enjoy it

Yeah, we're gonna have to compare our intakes to other people's intakes on Maximas to see if there is supposed to be that much difference, mrloyd.

Stillen uses a genuine K&N conical filter, whereas JWT uses a generic K&N style filter. Stillen's velocity stack/MAF adapter is polished, so it's smoother than the JWT VS/MAF adapter.

the JWT is the better bang for the buck since you won't find any noticeable difference to justify the higher pricing on the Stillen unit.

Indeed, my JWT intake makes much less noise than Neel's(Stillnmax) stillen intake. So, I assume, the only noticeable difference is the noise level.
Hope this helps.

How did you do that? And what did you do to customize your intake?

weird

One day i'm out in the parking lot of my apt building when some guy just walks up and starts talking. After a minute he says, "you got an intake?" i say "no" he says "ya wanna buy one?", i say "how much?" he says "$20", i says "hells yea! So far as the custom, ya know that annoying resonator box inbetween the maf and the tb? Basically just built a pipe to go in between to eleminate that thing and make all the fittings work. Pretty easy and less than 15 bucks. Makes a little bottom end and cleans up the engine bay. I think brandonj is the only other one who has done it. For detailed instructions search under intake piping.

Dude, is it new? Even if it's new still kinda expensive for the auction price...consider the shipping charges too. You'll end up paying about $90, maybe even more. I don't think you r gonna save that much on this deal.

Yes...

it is new...I figure if I get it for $85 then another $5 for shipping it'll be $90 all together. I can get a JWT Pop Charger for $115...that would save me $25.
While I know that for most of you millionaire Maxima owners that is just pocket change but for a "See Personal Description in Sig" like myself that is money.
Remember the saying: "Every penny saved is a penny earned" I think that's how it goes.

Another thing I wanted to share with all of you..I got my pay check today..wooohooo....more mods!!!!

Thank You,

Is that the guy who sold me my bulbs? Remember, I gave u his email. If yes, then he wants to make some money of you. I got them for $15.99, I was bidding on the auction though.
