Anyone else able t tell a Maxima 3rd gen starting up just from the sound of the engine? er-er-er wrooom. I thought it was kinda bad at first, but I've noticed everyone else doen that, and if I hear it in a parking lot I know it's another max.

had that sound about a year ago when he went to go have his timing belt done in his 89 but then he had a host of other belts changed in the car too, and the noise wasn't from the timing belt he later told me but was from one of the other accesory belts...

is this a screeching kind of noise? i am not sure abotu the WROOM thing--is that a sound of the throttle releasing?
