Ridiculous

Just wanted to tell you guys, for those who didn't know, there are already pictures of the next model Maxima, and it looks similar to that of the Z, but I'll let you guys decide.

As for the 300 HP, 4000 curb weight, that really sucks. The price is outrageous as well. People bought the Maxima because it was a great car for a great price. Going over 35,000 and it will no longer be the common car, maybe what Nissan is trying to do.

Update: For 25000, might as well buy the new RX-8 with 260 horses, or even better, for a few more thousand, the new Nissan Z.

Nope, there were rumors that it was an Opel, but it's been confirmed that it's a Maxima.

Damn, that is one ugly car, the rear looks kinda like the rear of a newer intrepid. I would go for the 2002 Max, not that one.

Also, the rear looks like it has bee clipped off about 1.5 feet short or something like that. I like everything, but the rear.

What's in a name anyway?

So Nissan replaced what we know as the Maxima with the Altima and made the Maxima a big *** ferry boat. It was a good move by the company and people will eventually asimilate to the new name structure. Besides -If you're serious about the performace edge and want to stick with the 4door nissan, go for The new G35 with its rear wheel drive when it comes out. Another plus is that the 2002 Maxes will go way down in price and make them an absolute bargain. Basically the comany is doing a bang up job. Decisions decisions.
