2003 Maxima.....looks nice

If you want to see what the 2003 maxima is going to look like, go down to your local nissan dealer and look at the 2002, they are going to be identical. Don't expect the 6th gen maxima until mid year 03.

Up until recently, I was doubting the pics too, but now you really have to take certain factors into account:
1) Take a look at the lights, they are similar in styling to the lights on the 2002 SE's (like Altezzas).
2) Look at the overall shape of the car. Nissan cars, over the past model cycle have been moving towards a more "unified" design, meaning they have a greater sense of family. Looking at the pic, it's clear that it somewhat carries over the styling cues from the Altima, most notably the sloping roofline.
HOWEVER, I also can't really take the pic 100% seriously for a couple reasons:
1) The Nissan badge on the rear is WAY too big...clearly Photoshoped.
2) There are no side markers...this strays from Nissan's sense of family.
3) The engine compartment looks too small for a V8 (just speculation).

It's not the next Maxima, I guarantee it. I have a British Car magazine and a Car and Driver for Hong Kong. Same picture (the spied prototype) only flipped and made wider. What's the title? Opel Vectra spied..
