Folks, we all know technically 5spds have slightly more power and potential than automagics. And given a 5spd vs. auto stock, the 5spd would beat it. That is, IF the 5spd was a pro. But what about us normal people ?? You would think us automagics would claim alot of 5spds due to many of their inexperiances. We could be nervous as all get out, and still win - Perfect shifts.

So, have any of you ever claimed a 5spd ? I know some of you talk **** about a-magics, but I bet alot of jOO get handed your @sses by 'em.

NO. It's been like a week and they haven't even e-mailed me! My max just got outta the body shop, and I'm riding around with 1 clear, 1 orange bumper light

 

if the 5spd driver can drive, the 5spd will pull in 3rd gear.

I don't see why people hit on a-magic's soo much, you know there's types of racecars that are specially made automatic. Keep sharin your stories and experiances!

Sprint, A couple reasons why MedicSonic could beat you.

1) He has a perfect-shifting VB upgraded auto
2) Intimidation. Just lookin' at him would make you **** your pants, thus causing you to Funk up your shifts.

 

It'll be ready tomorrow/maybe friday! I told the shop to re-paint the kit, so it may take an extra day. I saw it today and it's looking new again.

I've placed my order for a set of diamond cut clear corners but they are on back order so it will be at least 2 weeks until i get them So.. today I blacked out my nasty amber corners.. looks SO much better, especially on a superblack max. maybe you should try it too, i used 5% limo tint film, cut it out and slapped it right over the corner light, total time = 40 seconds.

I'm not jumping for it.. but I might call the dealership tomorrow and ask about it. I'm not looking to get rid of my car, I love my car but if I can get a chance to get a 5spd, with about 20k miles less that looks the same.. I'll go for it, depending on how much more they want me to pay them, IF they want me to pay them.

About the cops.. at night, you can see them blink, although not nearly as well as they did when they weren't tinted, but they are visible so they can kiss off.. In the day, it's another story.. If I get a ticket, I'll rip the vinyl off and go get it dissmissed that same second. But I can't be seen in public with amber corners anymore, i think people point their fingers and laugh at me

 

All gonna depend on the driver. Ive beat a 5 spd before, and I've been beaten by one. Not now though... 5spd's fear the automagic...

 

No, its a little slower. You should have walked me hard, but you never did, any of the times we went at it. Once you are outside of 3rd gear, you lose most of your ability to pull from an automagic. Of course being able to shift has its points too...

The decision is so freakn hard for me. I love cruisin and perfect shifts in the a-magic, but would love the speed and control of a manual. Althought it would get annoying at times. It seems like whatever I do I will have things I like and dislike about each. This blows.

And Medic, your transmission ain't goin anywhere. Strong as an Ox. Besides, you have no NOS or anything to wear it down. (duhh)
