I have a 96 MAX GLE and I want to put a catback exhaust on it. What brand/model do u think is the best? Will it be legal in my state, Virginia? Also, I will soon have an Apex Dunk Muffler for sale, anyone interested leave a message. Thanks.

If you don't plan on ever getting a high-flow y-pipe (Cattman/Stillen), then the GReddy is the best choice. Sounds really nice, low tone, not too loud, WITH the stock ypipe. Add a high flow ypipe, and the GReddy is loud and droney...it'll bug the hell outta you.

It's a very nice looking system, too. Best looking tip I've seen. Very nice and high quality.

It's legal. Not nearly loud enough to break any noise level laws.

Curious why you're getting rid of the Dunk to get a catback. Too loud for you? If loud is a problem, you'll probably find the GReddy isn't a whole lot quieter. Might want to rethink whether you really want a catback then. None of them sound quiet like stock.

I am getting a catback because I have an exhaust leak in one of the pipes, so I figured I might as well get my catback system now. Sound isn't a problem, but I got pulled over when I had my Dunk on, the cop said that "any exhaust modification is illegal in Virginia," so now I have a court case in November. Apparently EVERYTHING is illegal in this damn state!
