Subwoofer Question!!!!

In my 20th AE maxima, i have 2 jl audio 12w3's. I was thinking about taking out one and leaving a single 12 12w3 and running about 450 through it instead of my 200 watts into each of my 12w3's that i have now. Would that make any difference in sound? Is that a good or bad idea?

I am running 340 watts thru 1 12" sub and I think its more than enough for the bass I get. I really don't care how it sounds from the outside but it sounds incredible on the inside.

That's NOTHING compared to my two 12" Infinity perfects. 800 true watts of Ivory aluminum-coned bliss. Ahhhhhhh

I hate it when people go "How many watts !? How many watts !?" They don't understand many many things go into sound quality and depth besides wattage. Just to name a few:

Cone material
Voice Coil properties
Surrounding
Weight
Continuous Wattage capacity

Pioneer is a decent subwoofer company. I hate the fact all their woofers are foamed.

Deezo You are damn right. The bass is cool for ***** and giggles but it gives ya a headache after a while.

You forgot to add something about sound quality -

Rattling of the rear trunk and bumper.

The Bumper
The taillights
The roof
The windows
The visors
The Doors
