Midwing???? Trunk Lid "Lip" Spoiler????

I have seen a couple new bimmers and a couple golf's with the Midwing(on the top of the rear window, sits flush with the window and the roof) and the Lip style spoiler on the end of the deck lid (like the new is300, sits flush with the trunk lid)...

Anyone ever seen these or know of any that can be made to fit on a Max????

If there aren't any in production for the maxima now (4th gen/maybe 5th), would anyone be interested in having these made for the max?? I really like the look of the subtle spoiler on the rear deck, sitting flush with the car, and the midwing up on the back window..

Let me know..

You could get a lip spoiler from an M5 and heat it a bit to conform to the Maxima's trunk...

I would love to replace the SE OEM wing with a lip wing. The best part about a lip wing is that whoever makes it can reuse all the stock holes.

I wonder how one of the roof window wings would look on a 3rd gen...

I have also seen them on bmw and VW and some other euro cars in the uk max power a couple times and liked the look of them...

Are they going to be made for *** maximas or just 5th gens and newer???

Honestly I have no idea. Worth checking into though, I'm almost positive that you would be the only one with such a spoiler.

<UPDATE>
Signature trunk lip wings NOW available (Mid January 2003).
I will post photos tonite....

Two different lip wings available for:
A32/A33 body style
A32-->(1996-1999 I30)&(1995-1996 Maxima)&(1997-1999 Maxima)
A33-->(2000+ I30/I35's)

These are off the Cefiro's so these two lip wings will fit I30 (1996-1999 & 2000-2003 I30/I35). I have trial fitted the lip wing on 4th Gen maxima's they will fit (both 95-96 style trunk and 97-99 trunk)
I will also check the fitment for 3rd and 5th gen Maxima's soon.

for reference photos--> GO
www.evolution.co.jp/signature
Click A32 Cefiro
Click Rear View
The lip wing on that Cefiro trunk is what I am talking about.

Thank you

I'd like a rear window spoiler that sits nice and close to the actual window. Like the BMW ones... The ones that are available for us now are buldge out too much in my opinion..

Can you show me a good photo of BMW rear roof wings?
I was trying to find some photos to show as examples to send to my suppliers?

Thank you

it's called a Roof Spoiler.

here is one on ebay..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1875084155

they have a few different designs I think...

depends which model i guess..

also,
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1875110521

they are just more "flat" as opposed to the ones we have for the max now... and look a lot more flush with the body..

After seeing those E36 pics, I REALLY want one!

If anyone is reading this, tell me if you agree with me. After getting a tint (this message is mostly directed towards those with a tint) at 5%, my rear window looks extremely big and squarish. W/O the tint the rear deck made a perceived image that the window didn't go down so low. But with a roof spoiler, it will definately improve the look from any rear angle because the rear window will look a lot more rectangular, much more like a BMW, IS300, Audi, Jetta, etc.

yes, i think that rear window lip looks like it may fit the max, we just need to know how wide is their window to ours.
