I have sanded down my bumper very well. I primed it and sanded it again. It is very smooth now. I an goin to put on about 2-3 coats of color coat and same for clear coat. The last time I did this my front bumper did not look so shinny and did not have much depth. How can I make sure it will look much shinnier this time? Any tips and.or suggestions will be appreciated!

I don't think they use color coat and then clear coat on bumpers. They do on metal body parts, but on bumpers it's a different process.

You need a flex agent in the primer for bumpers. I think Sherman Williams sells the primer specially made for bumpers. As far as your shine goes, you need to have a really good gun. Make sure you spray very fine mist and do 2 or 3 coats. Clear you only need 2 coats of.
And yes, it's base coat, clear coat. If you still don't like the shine, get some good rubbing polish and a machine, but be carefull with the machine, you'll go right through the paint on the corners. Just buff it up to a nice shine.

Automotive/body shop supply house. Check your yellow pages or call a body shop and ask them where they buy paint from. I think Standox is another mfg. of primers and paint for your application.

also make sure the paint "flashes" before you slap another coat. runs are a no no.
for the clear make sure it's not too humid out.
