What do you use for highbeams?

Hey! Me too Yes, we both retro-fitted the '02's on our cars. Mine is a '01 and I think Kevs is a '00 but not 100% sure.

Kev, did you have to adjust your beam? Mine seems a little low, but was curious of other installers. Should we use the same rules with HID as with H4? And one last question...to move beam up clock or counter clock?

I have the Panasonic Kit from YoItsOk and I love them. So much better than the Hyperwhites I had.

I have the 2k2 HID's too. Yeah I think they're aimed slightly low, but I don't have anything to check the aiming, maybe my dealership could check quickly without charge?

OTFL!!! No charge.... Nissan....

Phew...don't do that....that hurt to much!

Seriously though if your dealer is good, it should not take much to bring it in and out if they know what they are doing....wait there is where the problem lies!.....

My guess is they will pitch a fit due to the fact that they are '02 lamps and on an <'02 and will "not know/want" to do it.

Yes, I had to aim them a bit higher.

8mm wrench
counterclockwise to raise the beam.

Man, 1hotmax, how bout your impressions of them first? Mine Osrams are on the way from 97GLES, CAN'T WAIT! I'll admit it, I'm a lighting ho.
NEED the HID fix, been jealous of HID peeps since 99 or whenever they first came out. I was OOH AHH when I first saw them in person on a GS400 at the Seattle International Auto Show whenever that was.

heh

Where do you put the 8mm wrench? Do you have to take out the black rubber thing next to the back of the HID's? Or is it that huge white thing that can spin around.

The dealer near me in NH is actually really nice. I showed up because a small part of my clearcoat was eaten off due to my friend spitting out the window and the guy at the dealership checked it out and tried to buff it out for free. No questions asked. I had never even been to the dealership before for work. This dealership puts a little faith back in me with nissan's customer service.

Glad to hear that! Then maybe they will give a free adjustment then. It should not take to long.

I do belive that its the "white spinny thing" that you adjust. You have to get the "second gear" or the piece that is closest to the bucket to truely adjust it.

It's the white plastic hexagon thingy you have to turn. The gears will turn when you're turning the hexagon thingy.

No need to remove anything.

I too feel my HID's need to be aimed higher. How much of a clockwise turn did you give each of them.

can't you aim at a garage door or something? Leave the lights on, adjust them at night.
