What is the best way to run at the track?

I've read many comments on this formum about how drivers don't shift into fourth gear on the track to get the best time and I have tried this and I don't think it's faster. If I didn't shift into fourth I go way past redline. All my runs with a shift into fourth has been faster than third gear runs. How many people is this true for please post.

....there really isnt a best way that will work for everyone. you should just experiment with your launches. some say stay in 3rd and some say shift to 4th. You need to just go out and see what works for you the best.
