Vegas would be very cool... what's the airfare run from the East Coast? I could make a vacation of it during the summer.

If theres another meet on the Midatlantic East Coast, and you want a 1/4 mile drag strip, I suggest my home dragstrip of Cecil County Dragway. Not only is this my favorite dragstrip out of the ones in the Baltimore DC area (Cecil, Capitol and 75-80), it is RIGHT off I-95, and pretty centralized from both the NJ/NY, and the Washington DC area. It is in the north east part of Maryland, they've got a huge ground area and the track is alot nicer then 75-80 is.

Geography lesson 101: The state of Washington is in the Northwest corner of the country, the farthest state that direction that borders another U.S. state. Texas is in the lower center of the country, which puts W.A. a good distance from "your side" of Texas.

Geography lesson 102:Texas is on the lower part of the country, but it pretty much devides the country in half East and West. Since MOST of the orggers are from the EAST side of the country, why not have it on the EAST side of the country again?

You answered your own question. Why not have it on the east coast again? Because it was on the east coast last time, that's why. Just my opinion, not trying to start a war.

I guarantee if its on the wwest coast, there will be a maximum of 30 west coasters, no more. Hell, we are going to have almost triple that for a NE meet that is NO WHERE near anyone that is going... Might as well have it in Florida or something so people will actually go to it.

You seem to really hate the west coast and everyone on it for some reason...

No, it just seems like a waste to have it where very few MAXIMA's will come.

Wrong.........there will be at least 15 max's if not more just from Utah if it is held in Vegas.

We'll probably be putting together a "Midwest Maxus" around the same time because most of us don't see the point is traveling 1500+miles to go to a car meet. It appears that the majority of Texas owners don't want to travel to Vegas either. The Midwest Maxus will most likely be in Kansas City or Dallas. In the Kansas City area, we've got ~18 Maximas. Texas has about 35. If we could get the guys from Texas, St Louis, Chi-town, Omaha, Oklahoma, etc we'd probably be looking at 50-60 Maximas plus anyone else who wants to come. Out in Topeka (40 miles east of KC), we have Heartland Park which is a NHRA 1/4 track (one of the quickest in the nation) plus Heartland also contains a full blown autocross track. We've also got a dyno shop in town that has enough space to have a 90-100 car show with dynoing.

I don't know about everybody else but i propose going to Tennesee to the nissan plant to have a first hand preview of the 2003 maxima!

I know most of GA and Florida would ride this one out.

That is an incredibly good idea.... if we could organize a meet at the new birthplace of our cars it would be awesome.

I don't know about you.. my car was made in Japan

to the Utah Fellow: 15 maxima's from Utah LSP was a little weekend thing we threw together.. NJ alone had over 40 maxima's.. i think maybe 150+ showed up... 15 maxima meet is a North East Mini-Meet..

you want to see a meet that someone planned on a thursday? with people from MA and CT?

i guess this would be a major meet in utah huh?

I will drive as far as DC.. like i said.. do it in Canada.. they deserve it

Canada's cool with me... BTW, Sprint's pic is of a meet that we threw together in 2 days. And it was a night. And we still did other stuff before and after it. NORTHEAST ROCKS!!

i was just in quebec and montreal this weekend... lots of fun i must say. i would vote for canada myself seeing as the good looking girl to non good looking girl ratio is about 100:1 Plus, on the major streets in both cities, all you see is a bunch of silly looking civics so we could really represent up there... the only bad thing might be the roads.

the time it takes to drive from Dallas to Houston is the same distance from CT to MD..

exactly why it should be on the North East Coast you can get more people from more states with half the distance

CANADA CANADA CANADA

I want to attent this years maxus, but there is no way I will drive out to a meet on the west coast. Sure in all we can fly, but what's the purpose of going to a Maxima meet without your maxima? Let's pick a center location, and meet there. I think Dallas or Kansas City is a great idea. But Vegas is a little too far.

Vegas is to far away

Like max 7 said, 'Sure in all we can fly, but what's the purpose of going to a Maxima meet without your maxima?' I like the Tenn. idea personally. I would go for almost anywhere on the east coast since I live in SC. Dont get me wrong, I would love to go to Vegas, but not MAXUS without my car.
