so i bought my slef another vq35 sedan

just picked this up friday, 06 sedan , sport package, 6mt

The maxima has been pritty good to me, so iv ben car shoping for a while and this is prolly the best 4dr manual trans sedan i can get for the money, and i realy wanted RWD.

110 miles when i got it, now has about 400.

I love this thing, top end is amazing even tho i havent fully opened it up yet.

Just got tints done today, and it will be slammed very soon.
Other than that I dont have much plans for the car untill I pay it off.

I still have the maxima . Im using it as a daily driver, but its for sale for 9k cause its kinda to nice for a dialy driver, lookin to get more of a "beater"

wish me luck with this thing bros!

good stuff man... that's probably gonna be my next move after my 5.5 gen 6 speed.. i like the G35's... you didnt want AWD because it looses more power through the drvetrain than RWD?

Main reason is i wanted a manual trans, and i also dont like how the awd doesnt come with the nice rims and its higher off the groud

plus rwd drive is sometimes more fun

Nice man!! I would perfer the G35 over the G35X. X only came in auto anyways so thats not even an option for me.

I dont know if you notice this too, perhaps it was just me, but do you find these things are REALLY tail happy when its wet out with VDC off? Jesus first time i drove one i almost killed myself, so use to driving a 330I and you could get on that thing hard around corners in the wet, the g35 i almost spun out going around a corner. I think is just ****ty tires on the non aero models.

Nice car and keep us entertained with more vids!!

Maybe no one wanted that color

jk! I actually really like that lighter color blue (correct me on the EXACT color because I do not want to offend you! lol, it pisses me off when people say my car is "silver")

I believe it is Lakeshore blue or something like that. Nice color, but its more or less one of those hate it or love it colors. Same with sterling mist. When i first saw my color i didnt like it, but it grew on me now i personally think its a super unique color and looks very good when done right.

you know how many times ive had my car called beige lol.

Oh and edit- we have 2 brand new 2005 maximas at my dealership still. Base SE 5seats auto lol been there since mid 04.

I always like colors that are somewhat rare and diffrent.. for example i love the way my merlor red max looks, rare, and when its clean and the sun hits it , it stand out alot.

the g is lakeshore blue, at first i didnt like it, then i went home and saw one with tints and looked at some pics in the g forum gallery , it grew on me , and it seemed like it was a completly diffret car....

the oil looked good to me, i think it must have been changed before

I like the 05-06 body style sedan alot better than the 07 one, so i was looking for a low milage 05-06 sport package 6mt, and i went to look at a 05 with 25k. And they had this thing at the dealer . 110 miles , i was prolly a test car i assume , and then when the 07 models came out ppl lost intrest in the 06..

Nice G
Good luck with both those VQ35's. I will be looking into a Vq (Z or G) coupe as my wifes next project car,
but thats years from now. Still trying to squeeze every bit of power out of my a32 for now.

It is the actually the only RWD sedan with a MT worth buying. It would also be my choice over any other MT RWD sedan. Anything else is from BMW and Merc and they cant be modded.

And your car same color as mine. Lakeshore blue.

I'm not saying it's impossible. All I'm saying is that it's too costly and too much work as far as electric **** goes making it nearly impossible.

all you have to do is buy an "M" badge or "AMG" badge and you're good to go.

rember, "M" for BMW and "AMG" for the Benz. If you get them mixed up, it can cause sever incompatibility issues and the car can explode in your face.

hope you don't lose to a modded max in the future!!1

btw, the g/z shift **** wont work on the maxima because it has a different reverse lock out on it.

also, sti shift ***** won't work because the threading on it is a little too large.

I'll tell you a little story, but don't assume that the same thing happened with your car. I know it's 100% true, so don't doubt me.
I know someone who was at a mechanic, and saw a perfectly looking Mercedes. IIRC it was an S500 or something similar. One of the larger sedans. When this someone I know asked the owner of the shop why the car was there he replied. "This car has 3,000 miles (three thousand, no, I didn't add an extra "0" by mistake), and the dealer wants it turned back to 300 (three hundred). They put new brakes and tires, and you would never know the differance. They then sell it as a "show room" car."
What does that tell you? Hopefully you throw up your dinner.

Sure looks like a great car you got!

I'm not sure why your not opening it up yet. If it was a test car, which we all would assume, I'm sure it was operated at WOT 50% of the time.

I recently was at a Dodge dealer looking at a Magnum R/T for someone. The sales man was nice enough to offer me a drive in a Charger R/T with the road and track package. The package includes SRT8 sway bars, suspention bits, seats and IIRC an extra 10hp. Let me say that I was at WOT most of the time, and I even drifted the car into traffic, squealing tires and what not. All with the sales man in the car...And no, we didn't buy it.

Take a look at the 335i sedan with a vishnu chip. Then tell us that a BMW can't be modded.

Got a brand new '03 SE 6 speed?

I once detailed a 1978 BMW M1 that only had 1931 actual miles on it.

====================

Anyway, that is a great looking G35, really like that color.

I used to have a Z... Loved it... but sold it cause of no back seat.
Bought a 4th gen 5-speed max instead... Missed RWD so bought a '95 240sx(backseat ) had great plans for it... NOW baby on the way out with the 240... (still working on the replacement).
All the while dumping time and money into my 02 6MT Max... when that is paid off I will be getting a RWD 4-door sedan either BMW or G... Probably G

BTW... You car is officially "Lakeshore Slate"
(i was gonna get a G coupe in that color instead of the Z at the time)
