Shumax Is Gone....

Good afternoon!
Today could quite possibly be one of the best days of my life! I got a job promotion today. Last week I lost another promotion, but today I got an even better one. Along with that was a $6000 raise and a brand new black Chevy Impala--I know, but its totally free. I pay nothing--no insurance, gas, maint..nothing. Man am I happy right now. This piece had to be added or they would move this thread to the "For Sale" section.

The bad is that SHUMAX--my Maxima is now officially up forsale.
I am working on a web page now to host a for sale site. The car is as such:

95' Maxima SE, Black Emerald with 73,524--AUTO!
Only options is DOESN'T have is BOSE and Leather

Add-ons are:
Borbet Type E Rims with Sumitomo tires---less than 10k
Place Racing CAI
FSTB
H&R Springs
Tokico shocks and struts
Altezza Tails and Stock tails if you want them
Carbon Metalic Performance Friction brake pads--10k
Recent tune up--plugs, PCV valve, Fuel filter--air filter recharged.
Die Hard battery--1year old
Stillen SS Exhaust
Super White bulbs in headlights, clearance lights and side markers.
X, K, Ka, Laser Radar detector included.
Pioneer DEH-7200 single CD receiver
Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp
Sherwood 4 channel amp
JL 12W6 Sub in sealed box
Polk Audio seperates
Polk Audio 2-ways
Prestige X-Over
Auxuilary Tranny cooler
Red brake calipers
Red engine accents
Oil changed every 3k--don't ya love it Bill?
Tranny oil every 10k
Air filter cleaned every 20k
Just balanced and aligned

I am asking $10,000 Going price in my area for car like ine without the mods is about $8999. What do you think?

Hey thanks guys! I appreciate you avoiding the slam on the auto tranny or on the price. Yes..the Chevy sucks for performance, but it's a company car and that speaks volumes! I am now seriously looking at the S2000 with the Supercharger---my dream---yummmmmm. License plate reads "UDDLOSE."

So--what do you guys think on the asking price on my Maxima with the stuff I listed? To high, to low? Raise it and let someone talk me down??

Feedback, please!

yes

I am a filed marketing manager for Westfield Insurance Group of Westfield, Ohio--small compay in 19 states. Anyway---it is a safe market. Even though we are feeling the effects indirectly through the reinsurance makret of 9/11/01. Oh well--I still like it though..

Sprint--come on--aren't you going to knock my auto tranny?

I will be here for a while---hidden poking in to stir the pot I am sure. But once the Max is gone, I am going to have a hole in my heart---love that car likes its my own. Wait---it is my own

company cars

When I worked in pharmaceuticals they gave us new Ford Taurus, but of course so they could avoid paying for mileage. But the reality is that the salary compensated (by being comparably less) for the auto, and then it was hard to justify keeping one's own car (one that a person would like).

A good barometer is to see what another company pays that does not offer a car as a comp. The salary is always higher.

Congrats on the raise though!

How about taking off all your mods and selling them to us. And sell the car stock. You might get more money out of it that way..

My car

Here is the link to the site where I am hosting it for sale!

After reading it, do you think I can get enough from those mods to justify taking them all off?

I feel your pain

Hey man. I sold my 97 SE a few weeks ago. I switched employers several months ago and wanted a change in vehicles. I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be with the new Maximas and the new 240hp Altimas weren't on the lot at the time. But I did manage to stay away from the domestics with a Toyota Tundra V8. Very efficient engine with great power.

On the car front, I agree amixam98 though. I got more for my Max with the mods off. Several people responded very quickly to buy them from me. I had committments on the Y pipe and UR UDP within 24 hours. The rest of the stuff was sold localy before I removed them. Waiting for a person that wants a modified car that has money for it can be tedious...
