Nissan needs a mascot like the Subys

Call it childish, but I like the Subaru Pig Manga Mascot. I recently found out what it was... after seeing it on a few ppl/friends Subarus, especially on the side view mirror covers...

"The pig is a mascot for the Japanese manga (comic) magazine Young Magazine. It's always somewhere on the cover... The pig appears on Petter Solberg's rally car. For the past two years the pig has only been on the driver's side mirror. Back in 2002 it showed up on the co-driver's side as well, but that seems to have been dropped now. It ONLY appears on Petter's car -- Mikko's car doesn't have it, and Tommi's (when he was with Subaru) did not either. Toshihiro Arai (in the Production championship) has the pig on both of his side mirrors, as well as a little piggie on his driving suit. I suspect that it's a personal sponsor, rather than sponsoring the entire Subaru World Rally Team or STi."
Nissan needs one, as well as a rally car to oppose the STi...

never even knew subbies had a mascot. If Nissan could come up with an impressive mascot then maybe but I dont know if I would put the mascot on my car.

a stripped down Sentra would be an interesting rally car, depending on the setup.

Alright, alright. It's a bad idea, relax guys. I did find it interesting that they adopted it from one of the rally cars.

BTW, there is a guy on myspecv.com who does rally his Spec-V:

FWD rallying?.. even though it still looks fun. Show me an AWD specV.. i'll be impressed. Unless this guy somehow converted to AWD.. (unlikely)very..

There hasn't been any AWD Spec-Vs yet, but there is an AWD B13 Sentra with an SR-DET swap somewhere. Search it on youtube, you'll probably find the video.

With a pig as a mascot, I'd feel comfortable NOT having one at all for the Maxima.

I hate to be captain obvious, but...

"The pig is a mascot for the Japanese manga (comic) magazine Young Magazine."

Am I the only one that read this?

Just because someone put it on a Subaru, does not make it a mascot.
