need advice - crack in windshield
hey guys,
i just noticed today i have a very very small chip ( i guess from friggin 95 ) on my front windshield. i took a look at it and looks like it "spidered" every so slightly less than 3-4 millimeters.. is there anything i can do now to prevent it from getting worse? i know they sometimes sell them kits that you can patch it, and ive heard they work. i want to try to prevent a whole wind shield replacement in the future if possible.
let me know what you guys think?

yeah just go to autozone or anywhere and get a windshield repair kit, I had a few of those on my windshield 2 1/2 years ago and used a windshield repair kit (they epoxy stuff in a little pump thing) and they haven't spread at all.

I don't remember what brand it was, I got mine at autozone and I think they only have one brand of the windshield repair kits there. It's in a blue and white plastic box thing I think. Just ask them and they'll point you to it.

Just a thought here.
Try checking with your insurance company because mine (Nationwide) will pay to have someone come out and fix the windshield if they can and they will pay the entire amount without touching the deductible.
I have had a couple of my cars repaired locally by the same guy and he files all of the paperwork for you and will repair the windshield right in the parking lot at work.
So you might just check.
