Maxima Convertible

So, I went into this local body shop today that my homie's dad owns and asked them how much would it cost to shave the top of my car and convert it into a convertible. Since the same idea was done with a Windstar (yes, the minivan) I figured I could be the first Maxima convertible. Anyway, the estimate would be around $4000, and they also told me if I get someone else they would only charge me 5500 for the two of us. Is that a great deal or what?

how bout get a 4dr max convertible then stretch it!!

also, your car will handle like ****, rattle flex and bend, the car was not designed to be a convertible, you will compromise the structural integrity, not something i would want to do.

yes its not a bad price, but would you really wana do that?

a 300z TT engine swap would be easier and more reliable than chop topping the Max.

and doing that is not worth the effort or expense

go to the store and get this month's import tuner magazine.. or see if it is on www.importtuner.com. this month's feature is a 94ish accord 4dr that was chopped.. he has monkey bars throughout the car to make it stable enough to drive, and he had the rear door welded and shaved.. it's badass.. but his isnt a convertible in that there is no top to his car..

Making an unibodied contructed non-convertible vehicle into a convertible is neither wise or logical. The car will handle like a soggy toast.
