I was wondering, based on your experiences, what the brightest light bulb (white without the blue tints) is out on the market right now. Also, will I need a new wiring harness if I change light bulbs?

Thanks.

I don't have any experience with bulbs that use a higher wattage than stock, but for a stock wiring harness, the whitest and brightest are the Narvas.

bulbs

well the package is all in japanese or something so i couldn't tell you the brand...But my friend just got 110 watt blue bulbs for his rodeo and they are bright as S***!!! I got PIAA superwhites and if I pull my car next to his you can't even tell my car's lights are on. lol, pretty sad considering mine were more expensive. And I guarantee the HID's barely brighter, more less anywhere near 300%...

that HID;s are 300% brighter,I have them and I believe it.Also it does not mean you get 3X's the range rather there 3X's brighter. It makes it look like daylight were your going.

hmm...HID's are way too expensive for me. What would you people choose between PIAA superwhites or the Narvas? Does anyone have pictures too? THanks!

By the way, almost all of the bulbs I have been looking at look very blue. I don't want blue lights, I just want bright WHITE lights. Do these things just look blue on the bulb but shoot out white light?

yea I have been looking on ebay too. Those bulbs look extremely blue though. Just about every superwhite light that they have there look very blue. Are they supposed to be like this? Or do these just shoot out blue light? Cause I really want bright WHITE lights.

Cheapo: If you want bright white light >>

Buy a overwattage upgrade harness from Jeg's or Carparts.com for the 9004 bulb. Then proceed to rallylights.com and order the overwattage 9004s, standard clear type or HIP type in 80/100W.

Do you have any first hand experience with the real HID kits? If you did, you wouldn't be making a statement like that. I've sold 8 of these kits in the last few kits. I've yet to have one customer come back with a complaint. Each customer has gotten every penny out of it.

ppl now a days

ALWAYS getting attitude. YES, I have seen many HID kits installed on various cars. I never said that the HID's aren't great or that the other bulbs were brighter, if they weren't nobody would pay $500-$1000 for them. I don't see any way how they are 300% brighter then the bulbs my friend has in his Rodeo though. They look almost as bright to me, and he gets great visibility. They blow my PIAA's out of the water...with the heads and fogs. IMHO no lights are worth that much money, but thats just me (and probably a few other people as well...) So just chill, aight? He asked for bright bulbs and I told him these were bright. They do have a little blueish thint to them though, and you need the harness cuz he's blowing fuses left and right and is now getting his harness finally.

I think Gotrice was saying that,

HID's are 300% brighter then OEM light bulbs not some crazy 110 watt aftermarket bulbs that are frying wires. So I figure oem lights are 55 watts and those bulbs your talking about are a 110 watts which = 200% brighter then OEM,so Hid are still atleast a 1/3 brighter then those 110 watt suckers.Later

i am not knocking the hid lights but i cant see spending over 500 beans on lights. i can use the money in better ways. u can get the upgraded harness and up to 130 watt bulbs and with the foglights that is plenty of light.
