My car sees about 4 months of snow and salt a year, so I'm going to opt for a SS y-pipe. I'm a bit confused as to which type of steel to get though. In terms of SS, WSP uses strictly 304 for their pipes, but Budget has 304 and 409. What are the benefits of both?

i honestly think it's just a matter of personal opinion...run a search on Y-pipes and you'll find plenty of threads talking about each Y-pipe and the differences between the two...

Shep, BTW WarpSpeedPerformance uses both aluminized steel and 304SS on our pipes. I replaced my whole system 18 months ago on my 93SE. The flex had worn out, but rest was still leak free. If you plan on keeping your car over 6-7 years go with 304SS, if you think you will own it less than that, use the money you will save buying the aluminized version on a different mod.
Does any one know if the Budget pipes are butt welded? Just curious. We use premium lined flex sections and custom lazer cut flanges.Our non-mandrel pipes sell for $195 + shipping. We think ours are a better deal because of the quality welding (both Dallas and Spike are certified) and the lined flex is a big plus(eliminates the "bees in a can" sound). Add to that, made here in America with all American parts.
