Oh snap! I'm surprised it isn't another Honda build-off.

Finally an engine that is relevant to us. I was sick of seeing B/K series engine builds..

And then sell it? Or dissect it and use everything you can?

this is not 5th-gen-specific. Moving to general discussion.

after reading alot about this i think they have 0 chance of wining staying NA. they can only hope other engines don't last through the stress test. and if they are getting judges on how the engine looks then they should paint it if others are doing the same...
but i hope they win.
why don't they just use the stroker kit that bumps it up to a 4.1 and then go from there?

because they are going for hp per litre

I entered the sweepstakes to win the motor, i think my s14 would be a good home for it lol.

then why did they stroke it out to 3.8? more tq under the curve? if so why not 4.1? can't rev as high?

if i were them i'd take a 3.0 and get it to rev to 9k+. unless i'm mistaken it should be easier to get it to rev high than the 3.5...or the stroked 3.8. afaik the only chance they have with an na engine is silly high revs and hope it hold together.

please correct me if i'm wrong. i certainly don't claim to know alot about engines but i like to learn...and from what i know i'm confused...
