Wheel Stud Question-Will these work? (Pic)
Wheel Stud Question-Will these work? (Pic)
Ok so I ordered 20 50mm (length) 14mm (knurl) from ichibausa.com. I first receive 10. They look great but I only got 10. These first ten look like the stud shown in the left of the picture. So I call them up, they agree they messed up, they send me another 10 in the mail. Now these next 10 look different. They are the right measurements but look at the splines. These 10 have a squared edge and the splines barely if at all stick out above this edge. Also the spline spacing is larger. Now the stud on the left I took to a grinder to try and make it look like the first 1. What do you guys think? Should I try to get another set of 10 like the first (which have already worked good) or are the gold ones fine too?
The last thing i want to do is strip the studs or the hub and have to drill out the studs (been there done that)

The splines don't have to line up with anything, they are there to hold the stud from spinning once it's installed.
They look perfectly fine, install them and be done with it.

Well Ive always had 20mm spacers in the front and over time ive had 3 break. (1 due to just taking the lug not on and off, and the other two I had my wheel come lose once and the vibrating wheel snapped 2 off.) But I ordered 20 cause Im going to replace all the stock studs in the back and add 20mm spacers there too to match the front.
