Since cost is not a factor, then HIDs. People seem to like the OSRAM kit as it's practically plug and play.

Re: Re: Best headlights?

HIDs are definitely the best for visibility and looks, but I wouldn't get aftermarket HIDs for my car for 2 reasons:
#1 the beam pattern is still srewed up
#2 no high beams.

BTW, my left headlight bulb blew 2 days ago, so I decided not to get anymore "xenon" bulbs. I went to Autozone today and got a pair of regular 9004 bulbs, don't even know what brand they are.

I wanted to, but that place didn't have them in stock and I really hate to drive with one working headlight.
I will get them eventually. What is the color of the light? Is it pure white or with some blue tint?

Pure white. Sylvania Cool Blues are the same thing ... just different name.

You probably got the same ones I have because they don't sell Sylvania Cool Blues anymore.

Yeah, Autozone is starting to suck more and more. I'll get Phillips bulbs online - http://www.autolamps-online.com/home.htm

Now, since I don't have hyper white bulbs anymore, I need to get new corner (parking) bulbs. I've got some white ones in there so it doesn't look good with regular headlights.

The best light is HID lights in a projector housing. You get it all with that! I also realy like BMW angel eye headlights, those things look incredible!

First off, cool blue and phillips SUCK A$$
Get Nokya artic whites from importpartsplus.com
they are like 18.95
you have to buy a harness though or they will fry your factory harness, I love them, great look, closest to HID I have seen.

Nokya has artic purple too for the Audi look, they are like 50 though, but supposedly they are cool looking too

Quite frankly, based upon others' experiences with these (which you can discover using the search function), Nokya's suck a$$. I would provide links and more details but since you didn't why should I?

A) Headlights are for seeing not to be seen
B) The bluer a light is, the worse reflection problems you'll have at night in the rain
C) Further proof that Nokya's are not a good stock replacement headlight based upon your own comments.

Joy. Why not just buy and Audi or a TL or something that has good stock or even an aftermarket HID kit? Pretending to have them jeopardizes all drivers around you, especially when the weather turns bad.

Yeah but they look so pretty.
Just like superwhites in your fogs instead of yellowstars.

I hate facts Bill, they get in the way!

Also, the bulbs he recommends also need a wire harness upgrade. Indicating that they run higher than stock wattage, hence the claim that they better. If these Nokias don't run the same wattage as the Phillips, it's not really a true comparasion.

I love my Phillips. About as good as you can get for stock wattage, non-hid plug and play bulbs. Thanks again Bill for taking the trouble to send them here. The bad weather performance is noticbly better than my old stock bulbs. You still need some s/n info from the box? lol. It's my rag box now. hehe

I just purchased the PIAA superwhite 9004 bulbs. I have not been happier. They are legal bulbs, they aren't blue, just a nice white, and they came with a snazzy key ring!

I do like the PIAA's though...

So? I think they have a brighter lighting than stock with the harness

What were the lumens and beam angle projection measurements compared to the overwattage Nokya's as well as the stock lights? And do you have pics of what they looked like with each type of lights?

I don't know why should you?
So that opinions are based on decent factual, visual, and technical data rather than the subjective "it looked cooler, therefore it's better" data.

So? I think they have a brighter lighting than stock with the harness
So you have zero technical measurements to back up your claim? If I say GTRBlkMax97 sucks a$$, should people just accept that as fact or should I provide proof?

The point is that blanket assessments without qualifying your statments by saying "I like the blue look and don't care about actual performance" is what breeds ignorance on the part of other members that may take your claims as gospel when they don't understand it is from a subjective rather than objective point of view.

Who cares it was a basic opinion? did I somehow offened you by stating my opinion in my first post?

Ok, stipulate that next time instead of acting like you've actually done technical research besides "they look better". That's as wise as saying dark colored oil is bad. How do you know that?

No, the first thing you did was blast Cool Blue and Blue Vision bulbs without any explanation as to why. That is irresponsible and lazy on your par.

maybe they should,
If I say Bill99GXE sucks a$$ should people just accept that as fact or think it's an opinion?

A) I asked you the question first and got no answer.
B) Shooting off at the mouth without something to back you will get you moderated every time.

Who cares it was a basic opinion? did I somehow offened you by stating my opinion in my first post?
No, but your minority comments give an impression that it's majority thought since newbie members see your posting status and think you know something deeper than "oh it's blue and therefore it's awesome". That's like Russ saying 245 width tires on 17 x 7 rims are perfectly safe when he hasn't tested it in any definitive scale.

Many members here like those bulbs just fine for stock applications, but you didn't take the time to stipulate that. I don't like half-a$$ thought out posts, as members get one side of things and run with it.

You should know better as long as you have been around. I expect better from veterans like yourself, even if Russ doesn't think you or hardly anyone else here is one.

Consider this discussion over.
