Volvo V70 T5 VS 95 MAX

how would a 95 max with the mods listed in my sig do against a v70 T5. I understand that the v70 is the big station wagon 247Hp 5 cyl volvo.

it is rather 4100pds.
how would i do against it ... both of them automagics : )
im hoping to take him off the line ... break torque

I have driven the V70 T5R and 2001 V70T5 5 speed and they are both very quick wagons. I never raced them so I would like to hear about this after u race.

I got ravaged by an S70, it wasn't pretty......But the S series is obviously a tad lighter than that 2 ton beast you're talking about, so let us see and tell us what happens.....

Go for it. I used to drive a V70 and S70. Both were GLT's and they were fast as hell with 190HP. Let us know how it goes.

You sure the wagon's that heavy? I get 3,433 pounds at Carpoint.com for a 1998 T5 auto.

I have a C&D that tested a V70R, AWD automatic 247hp wagon. It did a 7.6 0-60 and 15.6 quarter. Not bad, but with your mods you should have a chance. Let us know how it goes.

hmm....i drove a 99 S70 GLT auto. damn that thing was a piece! i'd floor it gettin on the highway expecting a downshift. the freakin' thing upshifted!! it wasnt fast by any means. i guess it was just that one car then...this was at a dealer though and they wouldnt let me test drive an S80 or S60 (whatever comes in T6) 5speed because it was too fast (yet they offered to let me drive a porsche, but my mom goes "no you'll kill yourself")
if nothing else, alot of the volvos look real good IMO

Sure, why not? The only problem is that you're in CT.
