difference between 'regular' and 'diamond cut' clear corners?

tried search and didnt find an answer. anyone know?
i'd have to wait a few weeks and pay double/triple for the diamond cut, or i could pay 10-20 for regular ones and have them within a week.

Get diamond, they are clearer and just look a lot cleaner. You shouldnt have to pay more than 30 for them. Get them on e-bay. 100 bucks says that an auction for those is ending today.

Oh... on a side note, two of my friends who have the diamond cuts say that the diamond cuts leak. They siliconed it and everything and water still got inside.

I'm sticking with my regular clears - cheaper and if someone steals them, cheaper to replace.

I'm sticking with mine too... I actually like the way they look more than the diamond cut ones.

Yea, the main prob I have with getting diamonds is that they stick out so much and I'm afraid they'll attract thieves, especially since I park it on the street... (You can see it clearly on that pic with them on the black car.. cuz I have a black Max too) In my neighborhood, I know of one Max that had its foglights stolen and another attempted one (the foglight was hanging there, so I assume the thief was scared off midway...). Of course, you can screw it in from behind to make them harder, but it seems like too much a hassle for me....

I guess it's a debate now, eh?

I like the original clear corners too. Maxima81 gave a good point that they attract waaay too much.

The reason I love my Maxima so much is that it has the power you need, but at the same time, the car doesn't attract a whole lot of attention, and keeps the cool, modest look.

Since I have a 96, my headlights aren't clear like a 97+'s. So the orginal types of clear corners match a lot better than diamond cuts would.

I agree though, it is just a matter of being a showoff or not. Heheh

hmm.. well i also have a 96, and the same color as the maxima shown in the above pic with the 'regular clear corners. i kinda like those better..maybe its b/c of the quality of the pics and the color of the car compared to the diamond ones.

Okay...

I don't own either and I think this is as much an un-biased review as any because I have seen both in real life as well. I like the Diamonds becaue they do look flashy. I like the clears because they look clean, do not leak, and are cheaper. Thats 2 for the un-diamond cut and 1 for the diamond cut. Guess what - I'm buying the un-diamond cut ones!!!

I thought you were going diamond ?

I was just looking at my Maxima, (it's a '95 with the plain-jane headlights) and I love it with diamonds. But it is black, so I guess color is a factor as well.

BTW, I have never had a problem with leackage or seeping water when washing the car, but I will be carefull from now on.

Even the non-diamond ones can leak.

That sucks. I was thinking about putting some in, but I don't want to deal with that.
