LED Lighting

Generally Speaking if LED lights allways draw power(stay slightly lit when car is off) are you required to provide some kind of support (ex: current limiter or volt meter) to counter act the constant power draw?
I am just throwing it out there becasue I dont know alot about automotive LED lighting and am just curious. I breifly read talk about this and never concluded a true answer.

Thanks in advance

U usually run a voltage regulator to regulate it from spikes. There is nothing extra you would need to run them with the car off.

LED's will only draw power when there is power being supplied to them.
When your car is off, no power is supplied to the lights so they can't pull anything.

exactly what type of LEDs are you talking about? I have LED bulbs and they require nothing except taking out the stock filament bulbs and putting in the new LED bulb, that's it, and they require less power consumption and produce more luminance.

I thought that there was just energy left in the LED bulb assembly to stay dimly lit for a few minutes.

Not sure though.Id check light forums.

If something stays on after power has been cut there is probably a short in the wiring somewhere. I'd hit the terminal posts with a multimeter.
