question about rim size
will 16X6.5 fit on a 96 GLE?

I think that's stock size of an SE wheel, why would you go that narrow? With a 6.5" wheel you souldn't go over a 205 or 215, why not get a 7" or 7.5" so you would have the option to get a better tire?

I think the stock SE 16s are 16x7 cause I can fit a 225/50 on my rims

Well you can fit a big tire on a smaller rim, I currently have 225's on the stock 3rd gen SE's which are only 6.5"

Stock 97-99 SE rims are 16 x 6.5
