Pocket PC

Well I figured it was about time to start some cotrabutions to the community. I've heard off and on with people wondering about putting a computer into there rides; w/ no responses that I found. Came across from [H]ardocp a pc weighing in at 1.9 pounds!

Top of the line Specs:

PIII/Celeron 370 pin socket upgradeable more than 1 gighertz
* System Bus 100/133
* Ram up to PC100/133 256 megs
* (Bad part) Intel 815 4 meg video card SHARED up to 1280- 1024 at 24bit w/ Vga, S-video, AV video ports
* 16 bit stereo
* 10/100 ethernet card
* 56k modem
* 4 usb (12 Mbps)
* 2 firewire (400 mbps)
* 1 9 pin serial and 1 25 pin serial
* PS/2 mouse - PS/2 Keyboard Port
* Ultra DMA 33/66 support 50+ gigs of hardrive or whatever needed
* CD-Rom; DVD-ROM

Heres the page
SaintSong

[H]ardocp did a short review on the first gen (current one posted is 3rd gen) right
here.

As of yet I'm still waiting on my Maxima so no use and trying to do a writeup. But this has several advantages over a 40+ pound computer. Couldn't find a price so I'm guessing must call.

Let me know what you think!!!

Ok it is fast enough to run any program out there currently. The bad part is the video card! Will not run alot of the newer games or will be medium to slow on something like quake3.

Will hook up to a monitor or TV display.

You can have 4 controllers (4 usb, video games gallore)

In response to those that aren't sure WTF I just put up.

Other details are just a little speacial.

Don't ALL laptops today weigh about 1-3 pounds? You could just buy a brand new Compaq that is like 2 pounds, right?

You ever held a Toshiba Tecra500 CDT or a HP Omnibook 4150? You will need to see a doctor because of bodily injury.

I think you have lost the point of this for a built-in unit.

they say that mine weighs 7.8lbs, it feels more like 10lbs! thats what i get for wanting a 15" screen.
concerning the small pc thing, i got this catalog in the mail from www.tigerdirect.com , they claim to have the "world's smallest pc", it was bigger than this one, but it had a cd(or dvd)rom, a 8mb vid card(couldn't have been 16mb), it was about the size of a external cd rw. bad thing is i can't find it on the site, all i remember that it was $500. if i find it, i'll post the link.

i found it:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...?sku=A259-1000
and sorry, i was wrong, only 4mb video kinda crappy for playing games, quake2 or quake3 will definately not work on this thing. i guess its good for mp3's? crappy games? still pretty sweet for $500.
