Polyurethane CV boots?
Polyurethane CV boots?
I had an idea. Who makes Polyurethane CV boots? Theres polyurethane everything else, from motor mounts, dust boots, bump stops, exhaust hangers, to bushings to polyurethane condoms (Trojan Supra!) The CV boot would be the ideal, because rubber CV boots will tear or crack sooner or later. Anybody know of anyone who makes them, or can find somebody who does?
I'd think you'd run into a problem using polyurethane for something like that.
The whole point in using it in your suspension is that it doesn't flex or compress very well, your CV boots need to be able to move with the drive axles, so you'd probably end up tearing the hell out of polyurethane boots on the first pothole you hit.

I guess you guys have never tried polyurethane condoms. First they are clear, secondly they are by no means hard... but very flexible haha. http://www.trojancondoms.com/product...upra/index.asp
One of the beauties of polurethane is high strength, and the ability to control the durometer (hardness).
