Steve Miller ??
Hi all,
Firstly, I'm not a die-hard maxima fan... yet. I currently have an '86 Pintara (Australia) which i love, and am thinking of getting a '96 maxima - gen 4 by my quick look at the FAQ's, am not sure that i can bear to get rid of my current car yet, so i might end up with both.
I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this question, maybe it belongs in gen 4, but here it goes anyway - has anyone heard of Steve Miller who apparently does up maximas - the '96 one I'm looking at was done up by him and I'm just looking for any information anyone can provide, including web references if you have them.
Thank you for your help in advance,
Mark

Is the max your looking at a manual Mark? If it is get it checked over and if in good condition buy it because 5/speeds are extremely rare in Oz. And you won't be dissapointed by its performance for the price.
However, I highly doubt Steve Millen would have been down here personally modding anything other than his surfboard so do have any further info on the car, like mods etc?

Hello....
yeah, the maxima is a 5 speed manual (short shift gearbox), nice little carbon fibre gearshift too
and.... i know the guy who's selling it - i believe you about steve millen not doing it himself, maybe one of his henchmen ? Apparently it was done for nissan for a golfer (allenby ?) when they sponsored golf, and it's got an understated little sticker on the outside and the junk holder b/n the front two seats both saying steve millen design... where steve millen is sorta a signature so i thought miller....
and.... it's a '96 which has only done 61000 kilometers (38000 miles)
and.... it's cheap (under 20000 oz) because insurance isn't --- looking at 1500 - 2000 oz dollars (with the current exchange rate, probably about 3 us
what do people think... ?

I'm guessing you must be under 25 to be quoted that much for insurance because I'm paying about $450 for full cover on a '95 5/Speed through AAMI.
