resistors, and LED positive and negatives

resistors, and LED positive and negatives

how do i know which side is which? and how do i hook up my resistors to the LEDs?

The side with the longer lead is the positive side. There should also be a flat side on the LED. The flat side is the negative side. the best way to hook the resistor to the LED is by soldering it. Depending on your soldering skills there are several different approaches. If you suck at soldering make a hook on the lead of the LED and on the resistor. Then interlock the hooks and add some solder to hold them together. If you're a skilled jedi solder expert then you just lay the two leads side by side, heat them up and add solder.
