Now that's something else.. And people wonder how stock S4's can pull off high 13's..
Considering I've got the same drivetrain and about 400lbs more weight, when the time comes I might be able to wring some low, low 14's out of her..

What is done to your Audi? I know they make a stage 2 turbo kit for that engine that is around 550 hp or so. And the stage one is 450 or somthing like that. Those cars come so "detuned". Congrats.for you man.

 

Hey Jim, got a question
Do you think, an NA automatic 4th gen with bolt-ons can beat your stock A6 in quarter mile?
(of course assume both can drive well, otherwise you can't compare anything in this world)

 

I would never say no to something like that. I know Don in Texas was running 14.5's on his NA auto (before he did NOS and all) so I would say it's definitely possible.
Especially since Don knows how to race..
On average I would say no, but there is always the exception..

I've been following the europeanspeed.com thread on AudiWorld since before the runs were made. The graphs you're referring to have been corrected/normalized for crankshaft horsepower. There is another graph under "GIAC second run" (or something like that) that shows horsepower measured at the wheels. It shows the stock S4 peaking at 165 HP.

The only thing these graphs are good for are for comparing relative performance between stock and the various chips. The absolute numbers don't mean much. Many people have stated (opinion or fact?) that 4 wheel dynos don't correlate to crankshaft power like 2 wheel dynos. And I can believe that if my chipped S4 only has 198 HP at the wheels.

Unfortunately there are very few 4-wheel dynos around the country, and they are very expensive if you're able to find one. I've heard of another group putting together a dyno day at a different dyno on the east coast. I look forward to reviewing their numbers to see how they compare.

 

Everyone has some debt of some type, and yes I do have some debt. I also needed to make room for more schooling so I had to figure a way to cut some of my debt down and the way I did that was the 2k max had to go, actually it really was a good decision at the time and now with no job, uggg I am more debt than anyone could imagine. But hopefully when a job comes that will all change. Probably try to keep the 2k Sentra for at least 2-3 yrs, finish school, pay off my debt, save money, and get myself a house, then get a new car of some type. Oh well

 

Don't even talk about debt! I am unemployed now for about three weeks, my old job keeps "forgetting" about my paid vacation check I was supposed to get, my car payment is almost a month late, my jetski payment is due on 8th, which I would sell but my friend ran it out of oil and froze up the engine and now I can't get anything for it, my cell phone bill is due on the 12th, my credit card companies are starting to call, and no one wants to hire me! ARGHHHH! But, the last thing I'm gonna get rid of is my MAX!

 

Hmm I didn't really want to talk about debt. I was making fun of Russ but I guess he didn't get it
