Switching to synthetic...

Hey guys,

Well, I'm finally going to switch to synthetic. Question is, how do I do it? My car needs an oil change so should I just change with regular oil, drive for a 1000 miles, and then do an oil change with synthetic? My shop also has an bilstein engine flush machine but that'll run me $90. 2 oil changes are like $40.00. I want to get rid of oil the gunk in the engine before switching to synthetic so which way would be the best way? Thanks.

Regards,
Mike H.

Drain old oil, put in new oil. You can mix synthetic and dino, they won't destroy your engine if both are in there at the same time.
