check engine light disappeared

have any of you guys ever had your check engine lights disappear after awhile.

my check engine light came on awhile back and after a couple days disappeared on its own. I was just wondering if this is normal.

when on of the many sensors detect something, it'll turn it on. if nothing is done after so many key cycles, it turns off (does not mean the problem is gone, just that the computer figures you don't want to do anything about it)

i believe the key cycle for the max is about 42 to 43 cycles.

After my emissions test, had a check engine light, went away after a couple days ~100 miles. Something about a motion/G-force sensor confused after being on the dyno.

happened when I had my 95 SE

My car flooded a couple of times (bad gas), the car started and then died, and my light came on. After a few days it disappeared. I think there is something in the service manual that covers that type of check engine light problem. When I get home I'll check it out and tell you exactly what it says. Hope that helps.

has to be a bit more than that...if there even is such a thing...I drove around with a CEL for 3 months(only because I knew what the cause was)
