K&N drop in filter

Is it worth it to put in a K&N drop in filter in a 2K2 maxima? Don't want to get a cold air intake until 1 year later. Or should I stay with stock air filter?

you can never go wrong with the k&n drop ins.

but i think it might void your warranty.

how can it void the warranty??? its just the drop in right? now the CAI would probably void it... k&n is just a "better-than-stock" replacement. i just hope you aren't expecting any gains out of it. if i were you, i'd buy the k&n cone filter and make your own pop-charger because the panel is a waste in money IMO

I got a drop-in a couple weeks ago...

They aren't bad at all. It doesn't work as well as a CAI, so you shouldn't expect huge gains out of it, but a few horsepower will be freed up. This is because the K&N flows a lot better. It's well worth the $40 I paid, since I probably won't be getting a real intake. If you're going to get a CAI later, just stay stock, since you'd be flushing $40 down the drain.

Is there anywhere on this forum that shows the instructions on how to put on cone filter and pop charger. And how much should all this cost me around?
