We often forget that the Maxima was THE FIRST talking production car in the U.S. in 1981. My '81 says only one phrase, but by '82 they said 6 phrases.

 

So true.. Some of em are Kinda funny

 

lets try to guess what current gimmicks\fads will be next to go

Haha I read that, those guys are just biased.... but I do agree with the fake wood on the exterior of cars though...

 

For '81, the only thing my Max says is "Please turn off the lights". Mine is an early 10/80 built car, so I don't know if later built '81's say more things.

 

when did "Night Rider" first air? was it before or after the talking Maxima?
