What happens if you have a some coolant in the engine?

Hi everyone,
What would happen if there was about 1 teaspoon of coolant in the engine? Someone put coolant in one of my motor oil bottles, and i accidently poured some into the engine.

Thanks!

Just change the oil. 1 teaspoon is not going to do much, go for a long drive and most of the water portion will evaporate.

It probably won't harm anything too badly. People who have failing head gaskets can have a LOT more than a teaspoon worth of coolant in their oil.

Nevertheless, if it were my car I would drain every last drop of oil out real well and put fresh in.

Do an oil change so you can stop worrying about it.
that being said my old corolla had a head gasket problem, I drove it for almost a year with oil in the rad and coolant in the engine. It still ran strong the day I sold it to some poor sucker... lol

well I flushed the system and used a head gasket sealer kit, it should run strong for another year with that sealant, as long as they change oil and dont drive it too hard.
lol I bought the 1991 corolla for $500 drove it for a year and then sold it for $800 hahaha. Then again I also put just over $1000 in maintenance in it...
