HELP!! NOS Install Problem w/fuel Pressure Safety Switch
I have a 96 SE 5 spd, and I'm installing the 50 shot kit of NOS on my max. I ordered the general 3.0 liter kit from JC Whitney for the Max. Anyways, I'm stuck at where or how to mount the fuel pressure safety switch. There is no "Schraeder valve" on the Maxima, atleaset not that I could find. I also do not see the alternative "banjo" method. Please let me know where or even if it is mandatory to mount the switch. Thanks

you don't "NEED" the switch persay....mine isn't even hooked up....it's just an extra added measure of security. There is no place on the maxima to install it. You have to tap into the fuel line just above the fuel filter to install a t fitting so you can install it.

I find the NOS to be VERY effective while racing....I took my 1/4 mile ET from 14.6-14.7 range down to 14 flat with LOTS of wheel spin....
Without NOS...I will get beat by a LS1 Camaro on the highway.....with NOS...I pull on them....

The FPSS doesnt need to be hooked up for a 50 shot. If you want to hook it up, you will need to buy brass fittings from a local automotive store. This should be mounted after the fuel filter. To tune it, there is a little rubber nipple at the bottom of the FPSS, pull that off and you will see that you need a allen key (hex) to turn the screw.
Out of all possible shots, you get the best gains from a 50 shot. I found out anything higher is HARDER tryin to run that much faster. I have ran up to a 70 shot and hans tdone much but yank another 1/10 off my Q-Mile. THe 50 shot as is took 1 full second off my Q-Mile. I just hope the 100 shot puts me into the 13's.

The track is closed here, and it started snowing today!
I did find a nice dry stretch of road yesterday, and I hit it up with my gtech... 13.xx@10xmph, but I'm not claiming anything till I hit up a real track, I don't trust the dang gtech that much...

If you had problems with a 70-shot, do you think a Quaife LSD, Place polyurethane engine mounts, JWT Stage II clutch, BFG Drag Radials, JWT ECU upgrade, and NOS controller/daughter board will have allowed you to fully exploit the benefits of a 70-shot?
Please kindly advise. Thanks.

I am auto but i do have some traction problems wiht a 50 shot. I have yet to drag wiht my 100 shot so i would assume its twice as bad. I LSD will help but unless your tires can grip, a LSD wont be as useful. You need to put that power down and the key is tires there.
I def would not run any ECU upgrade unless it was the JWT NOS ECU.
THe new engine mounts will help a good amount. WHen you NOS your car and the NOS kicks in, the motor "twists" really bad and the new mounts will prevent that and plant the power down better.
This is what i have realize from playing with NOS.

I was also kinda worried about running a stock fuel pump w/ 70 shot. I now run a Walbro 255lph fuel pump. I also did test a 50 & 60 shot once. It made no difference for me in time nor trap speed. After 50 shot, you will find it harder to get better time by slowly upping the jet (ex: like from 50 to 60 to 70). I think 50, 80, & 100 are the best jets to use and giv eyou the best numbers.
