Leather seat repair

I've got black leather, and my driver's seat is starting to show a little bit of a flaking on the left leg side, and showing the underlying gray color a total area of a few quarters. I've done a little google research with mixed results. Have any of you had success treating this sort of problem and restoring back closer to the black?

you will spend too much money replacing the torn sections of leather or vinyl. What will cost you is the labor. For the price in labor, its more economical to do a complete leather seat overhaul through Roadwire or Katzkin. You'll have top quality leather in your whole interior.

Haha for my repair I just painted that parts that flaked off black. It looks good from far away like 4 or 5 feet away but if you look closely you can see.

Go to an auto upholstery shop. Small tares can be easily repaired, then the section gets sanded and colored. There are some guys that offer mobil service too, but there's hard to find. I had a small spot repaired on my passenger seat over 2 years ago. Cost me like 50 bucks and you still can't see the repair!
