I am seriously thinking of trading in my car for a 2K2 maxima BUT i do not want many things that come stock on a 2K2 SE 6speed. Can i but just a maxima without the CD/Cass system, leather seats, alloys, security system? All i am interested in is the car with that 6 speed tranny and the 255HP engine.. once i have it i will put all after\market stuff and save $$ rather than buying from nissan. Suggestions and responses welcome.. It would be great if i can get it and then put all aftermarket stuff on it. also do u know how much trade-in value will i get for a 97SE with leather package and 65K miles on it? BTW its a manual tranny. Thanks

I saw a "stripped" SE 6 speed at the local dealer a couple weeks back - all it had was floor mats and splash guards.

You may have to order it though, as many folks like a few more amenities than what's offered on the base unit.

You also might be better off selling the car rather than trading it in. I'm sure you'd be able to sell it since it is a 5-speed. Post it in the For Sale forum. The dealer won't give you what it is worth.

You can see your trade in value by going to kbb.com. My guess is that they'll give you between $10K-$11K.
