Had an accident (inside the car). Suggestions?

Yeah so last night was my lady friend's 21st birthday and I made the mistake of allowing her back into my 6 month old Maxima after consuming large amounts of alcohol. She seemed stable enough, but I was wrong...

5 minutes into the ride, she tosses. I pull over, help her out. She throws-up some more in the grass. I give her some tissues (all I had), I did what I could to help her. She was a wreck. Amazingly enough the mess was more on her then on my car's interior. Just on the seat belt, I think I was able to clean up what little was in the car, but I'm concerned about the odor. Does anyone have any suggestions to kill any foulness? I really liked that "new car, leather smell" but those days are probably over

Would putting a box of baking soda under the seat help at all? I know those cheap fragrance items you can get at auto stores don't work all that well. Thanks for any feedback

hehe... the title sound like you had an "accident" of your own in the car.. a little puddle.. sorry

yeah tell the girl she chose to drink and hurl she pays for a new interior.. or clean all the areas with glue remover (goo gone, orange clean, 409) and then spray some febreeze on there.. worked fine for me with SOUP..

haha...this happened to me too. A girl friend of mine threw up in the back seat one night. It was chuncky and not real liquidy so I just scooped it up with my hands and wiped off the leather with a extra shirt I had. Not too big of a mess just warm. Ok, that was nasty, sorry.

Ugh... that's brutal!

I almost lost it last night because of the smell and just being around someone who is throwing up makes my stomach turn.

Sorry guys.. didn't mean to disgust anyone with my thread.

Not that I smoke (anymore)! When I was in high school, My friend had a 78 monte carlo and he spilled a bong on the floor. The car smelled like a$$! We got pulled over by the police, weeks later and were searched due to the stench!!

haha

My friend puked in the back seat of my old max.. what blows is the car had CLOTH interior...... that is damn hard to clean off, if it was leather it would be way easier. I washed it off, then I shampoo'd the back seat and washed the carpets.. the seat still smelled, I got some fabric spray from Kmart, it worked well.. It just aired out after a few weeks (or maybe I just got really used to it). Another one of my friends barfed all over the rear seat of this other guy's Mazda Millenia.. the car had leather so it was easier to clean, but they didn't bother doing it themselves, they found some place that detailed the interior for 40$.. lol
I now drive around with plastic bags under my front seats and a roll of paper towels in my trunk.
