EYELIDS: Do they block light?

EYELIDS: Do they block light?
Well since I didn't get any good offers on my HID's i'm thinking about putting them back in. Only major problem was they're really bright. I recently purchased brand new headlights because my old ones (97) were really foggy. The new ones seem to reduce glare in the housing by like 80%. The beam pattern is still really high (Shines heavily into peoples rear windshields). I didn't get to lower the headlights yet but I heard that even after lowering the beam pattern is still really high. So my question is will putting black eyelids on my headlights cut off some of the light shining in peoples eyes? Thanks

Re: EYELIDS: Do they block light?
they dont cover enough lense to pose a lighting problem at all. simple test is to get duct tape and tape the top portion of the lense enough to cover the "nibs" and that should only cover about an inch or so. thats how much the eyelids cover

I asked this same question b4 like a year ago and your idea seems logical, but will not do what you think it will do. Covering the top, or what you're thinking of adding eyelids, will block your low beam or light that is projected close. It's how the lenses and reflectors are made in the headlights. If i can find the diagram, i'll post it, but for you to block some of the light that is projected upwards, you need to cover part of the lower part of the headlights or do squinty eyes, eyelids and cover the bottom.
