Shorten struts
#2
Sweet!! Could be an alternative to coil-overs.
Note: I used shortened struts on my old 510(used factory 280z struts that are 1"-1.5" shorter). Ride was sweet and most of the lowering cam from the struts(not springs) so your ride and suspension travel is still very good.
I wonder though. On the 3-gens, only the rears are cartridge type. So off-hand I would only think the rears would be available for this.
I wonder if they can modify the fronts(to be shorter) but at the same time:
1) cut off the sealed cap and thread the tube.
2) find a cartridge that's shorter(duh) and will fit the maxima application.
If so, this would be sweet!
Thanks Tony!

Yes interesting indeed. Just think how those low-rider trucks have drop shocks on them. Those things are expensive as F on motorvational.net, at $225 a piece thats almost $1000 for just the struts alone.
Is it possible to get the same effect by chopping the strut rod and then rethreading it?

Yeah..if you add a set of camber plates you are looking about the same price as Cattman or JDM coilovers. Bottom line..real threaded strut coilovers are going to be aleast $1500
