where do you guys have your strobes installed?

i'm going to pickup a set of strobes soon, and I am curious where you guys have your strobes installed. how many do you have? do you have one of those rotary-switch box things that let you adjust the flash patterns? how many do you have? do you have pics?

and what colors do you think I should get? clear strobes look nice, but I was thinking maybe two blue ones (ive got blue interior lights/neons/underbody neons)....or red and blue

Mine are installed in my closet! I've been too lazy to install them lately...maybe this week I will do it. I'd either put them in my headlights (#1 choice) or the corner lamps...

I've read that the corner lamps are the best places to install the strobes...corner lamps are cheap to replace

I'm putting mine in my foglights and my reverse lights. I'm also planning on doing the flashing headlight thing as well. So I'll have all 6 going on. When I get my 3 bank of strobes I'll probably put those in my corners. What wattage did you guys get? I didn't buy the remote for the pattern relay. I didn't think I'll be switching that much. Just a triple flash and call it a day

New my ***. I've been driving Maximas since 1989 (3rd gen, 4th gen, and 5th gen as daily drivers) so don't give me any of that crap. Oooh, I'm cool cuz I post a lot! I thought Maxima owners had more class than friggin' strobes and neon. THAT's Honda crap. BTW I've never been on a Honda board, I'd like to take my 300ZX and stomp on you for that comment.

ohhh I'm a Z owner, I'm gonna stomp you.... I'm hiding.
knowing cool and being cool are seperate issues, neither of which I've claimed to be, you like so many A$$es on this forum feel so compelled to throw your 10cents in when its not needed. Do you have something to constructively add to this conversation? Other than you've owned 3 maxima's and possibly a 300zx?

Yeah, I think strobes are cheesy, and they're illegal in most places. I'm hoping to save another lost soul from rice-ing out their Maxima. I apologize if I believe in classy upgrades, I guess I'm too "old-school" even tho you think I'ma newbie. If nobody put their 2 cents in, what would be the point of a forum? A question was asked, I voiced an opinion. Sorry you don't like it.
BTW-What have you contributed to this thread, other than to "throw your 10 cents in"?

Oh, BTW, "newbie," I joined here October 2000, compared to your May 2001.
And I do use search, which is why I am not a post-*****.
And how would searching benefit me on this thread exactly?
Anyway, strobes being ricey is not a personal attack on anyone, I just think better taste in order. Oh well. It's a lost cause anyway

yo first of all he asked where the strobes should be installed. i dont think he asked if you like em or not. no offense..but stick to the question. if it was up to me, id put em on the corner lights and have four in the back..two in the backups and two more in the blinkers probably.

Very easy wire up. I have the cheap-*ss $20 APCs though - they look awesome at night...but you can only see them at night.

There is a time and place for everything, knowing when you can use your strobes and neons are a big part of being a "riceboy". Use it where you won't get in trouble, and it's not a problem. As for neons and strobes being illegal, there's many things that are illegal depending on what you do.

Put them in your corners...invest in some police stobes and put those in your headlights!...also, put some strobes in your vents! It attracts a lot of attention at Hot Import Nights!

Don't bother install them unless they are

real strobes. I had those euro lights strobes that didn't last more than a month. Junk!!
