I don't wanna get in trouble with the cops, so does anyone know hom much tint is allowed(what %) on your car windows in New York City and New York State?

 

mot much, maybe even none!!

call a local tint installer, they will know for sure.

 

I got 35% tint in front and 20% in back and have had no problems with cops.

 

and I found that it is 33% the front doors. the rear seems to be a little vague as far as what you can have and something about mirror size. I have 35% on both sets of doors and 20% on the rear winshield and have never had a problem. In fact I have used this combination on all my vehicles since 1988 and have never even been stopped for window tint. the only thing was once i had to get an inspection the the guy wouldn't pass me for the tint. i just went elsewhere and got it done without a question.
