Raising the Max to Clear Snow Tires

I have a 5th gen with Eibach's and Tokico's and am very happy with the car's stance and handling, 'mostly'.

But when we put my higher profile snow tires on, we found that they rub, front and rear. Not a lot; just enough that an extra inch of height would cure.

Is there any place that I can get some of those spring expanders that could be on the car, just for the 2 months of Winter?

Or, does anyone have another idea?

Thanks!
Jim

What about using smaller rims, like original 16" ones?

It sounds like you already bought tires, but if I were to do this, I'd get cheap used 16" OEM mag wheels and put snows on there. Either that or buy them the same size as my summer tires, and use my main wheels.

where are you rubbing on the tire? top or edge/sidewall? and are you on spacers?

It sounds more like you have the incorrect size tire.
The Tokico / Eibach setup shouldn't cause your tires to rub.

What size wheels / tires are you trying to use?

if the winter tires are the size he says, they are very similar to stock size. In fact, they would be ever so slightly shorter
