I aimed them down, like REALLY low. They are still just as bright as the low beams in normal mode and NO ONE has flashed me.

It's strange.... when I had my other H4 bulbs in my headlamps, I got flashed a lot. Now with HIDs, I have yet to be flashed by anyone

I guess mine aren't aimed high enough

i'd just leave them aimed where you need them to see the road and FU<k the other drivers, it's your lighting and you need to see.

I havnt checked up on this thread in a while.. and while searching I found it again and said.. wow 21 replies! I guess forgot about all the Post ****** on this board Anyway, as far as the IS300 goes i'm still thinking about it. Only problem is i'd be leasing it and would have to keep it pretty much stock. I really enjoy modding car's so I might keep my max or buy a 98-99 5-speed. BUT back to the HID's...

So if I aimed them as low as they go I shouldn't have any problems? I guess I can give them another shot. And what about inspection? Can I pass with no high beams?

installed 6000K D2S burner on my 2K2, and it made the stock 4300K look like crap. Deep Aqua Blue.

I even got Aqua Capsules for retrofit and D2S D2R burners.
Emit a 6000K color but lumens doesn't go up or down.
Ok, D2S is for regular lights, and D2R for projector-type lighting?

You replaced the stock 4300K with the Phillips. How much are they, and how easy to switch?

OOps.

So the higher the kelvin the more AQUA BLUE The light gets? Or is it just that way since you retro fitted an aqua capsule to the burner? Is this the look your going for? And isn't whiter better?

my 91 MAXIMA SE is in need of a HID lighting kit. I'm hearing the Phillips HID kit is the best? I just ordered brand new stock glass housing headlamps as well due to some serious chips and cracks. So I'll have very clean glass to work with.
What kit do you recomend, and where to buy?

So do the capsules make a big difference in color? I think the panasonics are brite enough which is evident from thw 20 or so people that flash me every nite. I just think that the HIDS could be a little more blue instead of green.

i have the hanabi 6000k hid kit and all i can say is DAMNNNNN..
its amazing how they look. every car should have these..
the are really bright. i will never go back to a regular bulb.
they have a really nice color to them... i compared them to my friends car (acura 3.5) and mine looked better.
as for the brightness, i angled them down, but they are still blinding when your behind someone. maybe eyelids are the answer.

the panasonics are green during warmup and then turn white blue. If the 6000k look anything like the honda sc2000 hids than I might have to think about trading in my visions.

I would loooooove to get HIDs for my car. The price doesn't stop me at all. What stops me is that I know how I would aim them I feel less guilty with my aftermarket halogens. I recently found out that when I did my inspection, they re-aimed my damn lights!! US DOT specifications SUCK! I'm puttin them right back to my liking!
