Installed a supertrapp muffler today

So far sounds great I have not had a chance to mess around with different discs yet but I will let you know when I do. Has anybody else used a supertrapp? What are your thoughts?

Very restrictive unless you make them very loud.

Not really...should be a smooth tone...not too loud...my new exhaust will be loud.
I didn't say they WERE loud, I said they were RESTRICTIVE unless you made them loud - i.e. if you set the discs up to get any silencing action the Supertrapp will be restrictive of exhaust flow. (Much like the proverrbial potato!)

Does that thing actaully work!?!?

I remember reading about it years ago in my weird hot rodding phase, and it said those discs at the end use the exhaust flow to actaully SUCK the gasses out of the pipe (through rapid movement/vibration of the discs I think). The more discs you added, the greater the effect, but the louder it gets?

This is weird tech.

Did you get a Y pipe and intake yet? That will give you lots more performance than the catback and muffler. HUGE difference over 3000 rpm. I smoked a new Acura 3.2 on the hwy at around 70-110 by 5+ carlengths.
