What are people's reaction when you tell em about the .org?

So I met another Max owner at school. The dude was driving a Black 4th Gen SE. What caught my eye was the brighter than stock headlights. We both stopped and I asked him what kind of bulbs he had. He said Xenons. Then he commented on the color of my car and blah, blah, blah.

Then I asked him if he ever heard of the Maxima.org and he says "Huh?". I told him what it was and both parted.

"huh"

is the usual response...

I had this drunk *** lady pull park next to me one night, and her male companions must have asked about the sticker on my window, and she said like she founded the damn site that it was "oh Maxima.org" like it was an everyday site alcohol does get the best of people

I should have made a better title

What I meant to say was how do ppl respond after telling them about the .org. Do they become interested or not interested?

It borders on disinterested to "so what?".

I met one guy at a Taco Bell last week with a black 4th gen and Altezza's and clear corners. When I mentioned the .org he said the usual "huh?" so I told him all about it and some upcoming meets, etc. Most people seem interested in it after I tell them. Ben gave me some business cards to stick in the drivers window crack if I just see one in a parking lot.

I don't tell anyone. The more people know about the .org the slower it goes.

They act high and mighty. Like they know everything about maximas already.

When the truth is they are still gettin ripped off at dealerships etc. cause they don't know what a valuable resource it can be.

I don't tell people... there are about 2 modded Maximas in this town, and I saw one while riding in a PT cruiser. You don't want to tell someone about a car site while riding in a PT cruiser.

It all depends on the people. If you tell somone that already has mods they will usually be more intrested. But if you tell somone not so into cars or just use it to get to place to place they probably wont care. What ever happened to those maxima.org business card type things that used to be handouts? They still around?

Re: What are people's reaction when you tell em about the .org?

"Your in a Maxima Club???" "What do ya'll do, talk about Maxima's all day??".. Usually those are ppl oblivious to anything outside of the Dealership..

but at the same time ppl come up to me and are like "are you..." or "do you remember me from".. or "oh your....." and "I saw your car on"

When I tell or show people they are shocked there is a such a huge message board for the Maxima since nobody thinks of it as the sports car that it is. People also ask "How much can you possibly talk about a car" or "I don't see the point in it"

I've only told one person about the org. It was a girl at my school whose parents both drive Maximas. Now that I have the business cards, I'm gonna start telling everyone I know who has a Maxima! Hope I see one tomorrow just so I can use a card!

I get the usual reactions, plus a few: "wow, a site for Maximas? no kidding", then the guy laughed. I looked at him weird because he had a Maxima too, maybe just not in to it as we were. Then I said, "want to race?" He said, "race? in a Maxima?" he laughed some more. Idiot.
