The extension is for like 98-99 Cali-Spec

Maxes which have a extra O2 sensor so the extension makes it possible to have a aftermarket B-Pipe on them. Some one correct me if I gave any false info?

I believe you have to buy the extension for a 95/96 because the pipe was

designed for the later 4th gens which come with the extension, stock. The extension they sell you is the OEM piece.

The info posted by EMAX is not correct.

And I've seen it several times so I feel the need to set the record straight. The extension piece is required only on cars which DO NOT have the O2 sensor behind the cat. This includes 99 CA-spec cars....

Full explanation is on my web site.
