I always thought they were, but I was thrown off browsing summitracing.com -- They have knock sensors for (up to) '99 Maximas, but not for 01's (which I need).
Oh and just to clarify, I am not buying a knock sensor from there, I was just looking. If I wanted to be scammed out of my money, I would go to a dealer
